The PKNS Headquarters is an iconic green-concept building that serves as a landmark, combining user-friendly and eco-friendly elements. Located in a strategic area next to Shah Alam Lake, this building is equipped with various amenities such as office spaces, a library, a sales gallery, a gym, a cafeteria, a daycare center, a mini museum, a prayer room, and other facilities that can be used by staff and visitors.
With its modern design and advanced construction methods, it aims to convey PKNS’s aspirations to become a leading property developer. The building has been awarded the Green Building Index, reflecting PKNS’s commitment to sustainability. The building design began in 2009 when six design proposals from various architectural firms were submitted for consideration. The design by Veritas Architects Sdn. Bhd. caught the attention of PKNS Management. This design integrates global elements, local cultural identity, and harmony with the environment and site.
Among the green features incorporated are designs that reduce heat entry into the building through the arrangement of four office blocks connected by corridor bridges, shaded by a green roof. It also maximizes the use of natural light and minimizes electricity consumption, along with water-saving systems that collect rainwater for landscape and restroom use.
The building is also equipped with a centralized Building Management System (BMS), making it one of the smart buildings in the area. The PKNS Headquarters is the first building managed by PKNS FM Integrated (PKNS FMI). PKNS FMI is responsible for various management aspects of the building, including Facility Management, Landscaping, Security, and Event Preparation.
Through these comprehensive services, PKNS FMI ensures that the PKNS Headquarters is always in optimal condition, providing a safe, organized, and conducive work environment. Efficient facility management also includes solar tube absorbent chillers system, infrastructure maintenance while the landscaping is well-maintained to reflect a professional corporate image.
